The adidas Women's Y-3 Adizero Ubersonic 5 Tennis Shoes combine speed and lightweight performance on the court. adidas kept the LIGHTSTRIKE midsole compound for lightweight, low-to-the-ground cushioning but added a new SPEED FRAME for lightweight support and torsionability. The frame wraps around the heel section of the upper for a locked-in fit. The half-bootie construction fits like a glove, and the split shark skin lining provides a soft ankle collar. Also new in version 5 is a midfoot shank cutout with mesh for improved ventilation. The shoe's outsole has a herringbone pattern for traction, which works with the outsole rim to control sliding. The Ubersonic 5 is a speedy and capable performance tennis shoe for players who value closeness to the court and speed.

Upper: Minimalist mesh upper provides support that is breathable and lightweight. ADITUFF increases the longevity of the toe area through targeted abrasion resistance.
Midsole: The Lightstrike midsole compound provides the perfect balance between lightness and responsiveness. Lightstrike features more direct cushioning, meaning it sits closer to the court surface.
Outsole: The ADIWEAR 6 outsole offers the ultimate high-wear durability. The herringbone pattern is suitable for all court surfaces.
