MonoGut 17g String

Designed with baseliners in mind, Ashaway Monogut 17g String features a co-polymer construction for exceptional durability while maintaining some flexibility. The combination of materials produces a string with greater elasticity that previously seen in first generation durability offerings. Perhaps best of all, Monogut 17g offers increased tension maintenance; one thing that is often missing from strings of this type. The addition of a fluorocarbon material adds a touch of softness, resulting in a more playable stringbed. Our testers felt that this string played best in the hands of hard hitting baseliners, but it did offer some added feel compared to many competing polyester offerings.

Note: Ashaway recommends stringing Monogut 10-15% lower tension than the Synthetic Gut to account for different string stiffness levels.
